भारत में रैली के शहंशाह माने जाने वाले टीम महिंद्रा एडवेंचर के गौरव गिल ने छठवीं एमआरएफ एफएमएससीआई इंडियन नेशनल रैली चैंपियनशिप ट्राफी जीती है। यह चैंपियनशिप गौरव ने 16 दिसंबर रविवार को कोचीन में जीता।
गिल, एशिया पैसिफिक रैली चैम्पियनशिप के तीन बार विजेता भी रहे हैं, और सह-चालक मूसा शेरिफ ने अपने सुपर एक्सयूवी 500 में इस इवेंट पर हावी रहे, बारह विशेष चरणों में से अधिकांश में नाबाद रहे उनकी टाइमिंग रही 1:31:47 । गौरव गिल (सह-चालक मुसा शेरिफ) द्वारा संचालित डीजल संचालित महिंद्रा एडवेंचर सुपर एक्सयूवी 500 ने शीर्ष सम्मान प्राप्त किया, जबकि टीम के साथी अमित्रीत घोष (सह-चालक अश्विन नायक) ने भी सुपर एक्सयूवी 500 चलाकर रैली में एक शानदार प्रदर्शन किया।
प्रतियोगिता बहुत टफ थी लेकिन रैली तैयार XUV500 एस के साथ ड्राइवरों ने खुद को साबित करते हुए यह खिताब अपने नाम कर लिया। 2013 में इस रैली चैंपियनशिप के प्रवेश के बाद से ही एक्सयूवी 500 एस सफलता के नित नए आयाम छू रही है।
उनके ड्राइवरों के साथ नामुमकिन साबित हुआ और आईएनआरसी कक्षा एक जीता जबकि कुल मिलाकर तेजी से खत्म हो गया। 2013 में भारतीय रैली चैंपियनशिप में प्रवेश करने के बाद, महिंद्रा एडवेंचर के सुपर एक्सयूवी 500 ट्रेल्स को उखाड़ फेंक रहे हैं।

A unique concept to showcase the tough and rugged DNA of Mahindra vehicles, Mahindra Adventure functions as an umbrella brand with a series of self-drive overland adventure expeditions organized under its banner.
Mahindra Adventure was launched as an independent entity for all adventurous activities, in 2011, headed by Bijoy Kumar Y, Chief of Adventure Initiatives. He is a motoring enthusiast and the erstwhile editor of a popular motoring magazine.
The Mahindra Adventure calendar comprises a series of experiential marketing events throughout the year such as the popular off-roading event, the Great Escape, several Challenges (sporting events in keeping with the company’s promise of providing adrenaline pumping challenges), Multi-Day Special Escapes, such as the Monastery Escape (10 days), Royal Escape (6 days), Authentic Bhutan (8 days), Himalayan Spiti Escape (10 days), & the Summit – a drive to the Everest base camp (14 days).
To spread the DNA of off-roading, the Mahindra Adventure team has also recently launched the Mahindra Adventure Off-Road Training Academy in Igatpuri to encourage off-roading amongst the adventure seekers.
Mahindra Adventure Off-road Training Academy is 28-acre facility, India’s first dedicated facility providing a one stop solution to learning everything about a Mahindra 4WD vehicle and how to use it to its full potential. Through this, we hope to leverage the brand’s off-road heritage, showcase the vehicles abilities and give the participants the confidence to explore the limits of the vehicles. Custom-made Mahindra Thars equipped with radio sets are exclusively used as training vehicles at the facility.
Team Mahindra Adventure has also been blazing the motorsport arena with their rally-prepared– Super XUV500, since its inception. Mahindra’s cheetah inspired XUV500 won the overall championship at the Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) 2018.
